dresssing to take a flight 1950s

During the 1950s, “jet setting” was often said to reference the elite or those who could afford to travel the world. People dressed immaculately to fly to their destinations. Today, airports are filled with people wearing jeans, sweats, and leggings. Comfort is the name of the game, and don’t you dare criticize. If you dress up to travel like people used to “back in the day,” other passengers look at you like you’re from a different planet.

TIP 1:  Don’t give the security folks a hard time.

TIP 2:  Don’t wear offensive clothing.

TIP 3:  Add a friendly smile and compliment, to travel employees, you’ll get all sorts of unexpected perks.

TIP 4:  Dress well and people will stop to tell you how nice you look if you dress.

TIP 5:  Dress well, the flight attendant may seat you in First Class.
